Honourable Secretary

The main duties of this post include producing an agenda, collecting and disseminating relevant reports and papers, and taking minutes at the quarterly Board meetings. It is also the Secretary’s responsibility to make any necessary submissions to Companies House and the Charity Commission (training can be provided on what is required).

Social Media Officer

This post will be responsible for assessing how we can best utilise the social media streams that we already use (Twitter & Facebook), as well as what benefits other platforms might provide. The Social Media Officer will also take responsibility for updating Social Media with information on events, news, and training being run by both the Fed and its members.

Website and Communications Officer

The main responsibility of this post is to keep the Fed website updated with news, events, relevant documentation, and general housekeeping of Fed/Board Member information. You will also gather information from members to produce and send out the newsletter and specific notifications via Mailchimp, as well as putting ticket event pages together on Eventbrite.

Events Officer

The Fed is currently looking to expand its offer using an exciting new strategic plan due to be launched at the AGM. The purpose of this post is to support the strategic plan and organise a programme/range of events to provide networking and informative/learning opportunities for members. There is also an expectation for the post to lead or support (depending on capacity) the working group organising the biannual conference.

Board Member

This purpose of this post is to work across the Board to provide project support and get involved with working groups to organise events like the AGM or biannual conference. This role will also be expected, where necessary, to provide other Board Members with support in carrying out the day to day running of the Fed. In this post you will gain experience and knowledge in a range of areas.

All posts will be given opportunity, and are encouraged, to get involved with projects that may fall out of the remits outlined above, and to support other Board Members during busy periods.
