Our primary purpose is to support our members in realising their career aspirations and to encourage and facilitate a best practice and knowledge sharing museum sector.
Given the various challenges impacting people’s lives, we think that now would be a good time to evaluate our offer to ensure that it meets the needs of our members and the wider sector both now and for the next five years. However, we cannot evaluate whether our current and future offer is relevant, accessible, and meets your needs without input from you!
To that end we have put together the Future Fed Survey and I encourage you and all of our members to complete the survey and to share it as widely as possible with anybody that you think might benefit from the Fed offer either now or in the future. The survey can be completed here
The closing date for the Future Fed Survey is the 31st July.
The FED Training Affordability Principles
Courses will be reasonably priced, discounted for Fed members, and for most courses, three free volunteer places will be made available on a first come first served basis (one per institution). We reserve the right to reduce the number of free places offered depending on the course maximum number allowed.
Courses will be led by experienced trainers who have relevant and current knowledge and skills, as well as experience of working in the heritage sector.
Courses will enable members to develop and add to their own skills and knowledge base, and to ensure that the courses we offer are up to date and relevant to the sector, our course programme will reflect members feedback. To that end we welcome course suggestions, so if you would like to see a specific training topic covered please contact the FED
