So, this course is for those of who are newly working as freelancers, considering going down that career route or have been so for a while and wish to share problems and look for solutions.

What will it cover?

  • Costing and pricing your work
  • Budgeting for your business
  • Coping with Tax, National Insurance and Pensions
  • Keeping accounts, getting paid and presenting your accounts

Who will be running it?

It will be led by Jane Walton who is a self-employed social entrepreneur, teacher and mentor specialising in supporting people to work for themselves to volunteer and to realise their aspirations. Jane worked in the museum sector for 15 years latterly for MLA as a Director advising museums on staff development, education and lifelong learning.
